Tweak window registry

In addition, you tweak the Windows registry to force system shutdown quickly following the steps below.

  • Press Windows key + R, type regedit and click  ok,
  • This will open the Windows registry editor, navigate the following key: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
  • Here on the middle panel double click on WaitToKillServiceTimeout and set the value between 1000 to 20000 which corresponds to the value between 1 to 20 seconds successively.

Note: If you don’t find WaitToKillServiceTimeout then right-click on control -> click New > String Value and Name this String as WaitToKillServiceTimeout. then set the value between 1000 to 20000
